The project comprises of the demolition of an existing, ageing leisure facility and the construction of a new Leisure Centre for the London Borough of Hounslow.

The new, modern facility has been built on the site of the old Heston Pool and includes a number of state-of-the-art facilities including a 25m six lane main pool, a learner pool, health suites, a 100-station gym, two multi-purpose studios, a spin studio, a cafe and soft play facilities.

As well as the new Leisure Centre, the scheme also improves the Heston Park and the play area.

New third generation outdoor floodlit sports pitches have also been installed to provide better facilities for local people and teams.

The scheme also includes external landscaping, new car parking facilities and the Centre's toilets are open to the public.

The energy strategies for the building included gas fired air source heat pumps, PV cells, variable speed drivers, cross plate heat exchangers and LED lighting.
