Howick Place is a £25 million, eco-friendly new development, comprising office, residential unit and retail space has been commissioned in the City of Westminster, London’s prestigious place-to-be and Silcock Dawson has been appointed by the Terrace Hill Group and Doughty Hanson to ensure it achieves all of its energy efficiency targets.

Silcock Dawson will oversee implementation of energy efficiency measures for the new building designed by Rolfe Judd Architects which comprises 13,000m2 premium office space, 33 residential units and 135m2 of retail space.

The building’s proposed services feature high efficiency plant and fittings, as well as combining heating, cooling and power, working in conjunction with ground source heat pumps to ensure maximum energy efficiency.

These eco-friendly measures will be put in place by Silcock Dawson to allow the development to meet its target of using renewable and low carbon technologies for 75 percent of the office heating and 95 percent of the office cooling demands.

Designed to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating with its apartments achieving a Code for Sustainable Homes level 3, Westminster’s newest development will be an example of best practice for its neighbours.
